PROBAN® Certification Process
The quality certification procedure that all production batches of PROBAN fabric must pass, is a feature of the PROBAN® quality assurance.
These quality control measures require a sample of each production batch to be submitted to Australian Wool and Textiles Testing agency (AWTA) an independent body, to be tested for flammability and wash durability. Each batch is issued with specific PROBAN® reference number. Rhodia UK then distribute approval certificates for each batch to Bruck Textiles, who pass this on to the garment or end-article manufacturer, who are then able to apply to Rhodia UK for sew-in PROBAN® labels.
Garment manufacturers using PROBAN® fabric are also required to be able to track each garment they produce back to the original batch. The PROBAN® label is verification that the fabric has been certified.
